Methodology
New York Harbor ultra-low-sulfur No. 2 diesel spot price, in dollars per gallon (EIA series EER_EPD2DXL0_PF4_Y35NY_DPG). EIA's series starts in June 2006. EIA compiles its spot prices from market price reporters. Prices are for trading days only; weekends and market holidays have no value and are left blank, never filled. EIA publishes the series with a lag of a few days and may revise recent days. The figures are nominal US dollars, not adjusted for inflation. CK Economics keeps the series from its first day; EIA's table goes further back for some prices.
