Methodology
Europe Brent spot price, free on board (FOB), in dollars per barrel (EIA series RBRTE). EIA compiles its spot prices from market price reporters. Prices are for trading days only; weekends and market holidays have no value and are left blank, never filled. EIA publishes the series with a lag of a few days and may revise recent days. The figures are nominal US dollars, not adjusted for inflation. CK Economics keeps the series from January 2000; EIA's table goes further back for some prices.
